What is a Lease-to-Purchase Home?

Our Lease-to-Purchase Program consists of 3 or 4 bedroom single-family homes that are leased at an affordable rate for 15 years, with the intention to purchase the home in year 16. This program provides a great opportunity to gradually realize your dream of owning your own home. We have several houses that have already passed their year 16 in the program and are now ready to be purchased, and many more that will become available for purchase within the next 12 months.

If you're not quite "mortgage ready" yet,  you can lease a house, with an opportunity to purchase later on. Our Homeownership Resource Center will work with you to get you financially fit and ready! Our certified Homeownership Counselors provide homeownership counseling, financial education, and a customized plan to get you where you want to be. While you are leasing your home with us, you will be learning homeownership skills by being responsible for basic home and yard maintenance, including mowing and snow shoveling. While you are preparing to purchase your home, Famicos will provide any non-routine repairs needed as well as pay the property taxes on the home.
