Famicos Foundation has been awarded $202,000 in Affordable Housing Program (AHP) funding as part of a $9.41 million grant allocation for Ohio’s 11th Congressional District. The funding will support critical home repair initiatives that help stabilize housing and strengthen neighborhoods across Cleveland.
The grant was awarded through the Affordable Housing Program (AHP) of the Federal Home Loan Bank of Cincinnati. Representatives from Famicos accepted the award during a ceremony hosted by Shontel Brown, U.S. Representative for Ohio’s 11th Congressional District.
As part of a Preserving Black Churches grant, Famicos will use the funds to restore the church's structural damage and conduct critical repairs to reopen it as a community center. Over 50% of the nine-million-dollar project has been committed from grants, tax credits, and donations.
