Carolyn Dawson and Ava Schmidt of Famicos Foundation were guests on Fox8's New Day Cleveland to talk about Famicos' effort to save St Mark's church in Glenville. The church played an important role in Cleveland's Civil Rights movement in the 1950's and 1960's.
Famicos was recently awarded $750,000 by the National Park Service for our efforts to save St Mark's church on historic East Blvd in Cleveland. The award is from the African American Civil Rights grant program which focuses on the preservation of historic sites directly associated with the struggle of African Americans to gain equal rights.
Famicos Foundation is planning two exciting new development projects as a part of Glenville’s Neighborhood Revitalization Plan. The two projects are both located within the Plan's concentrated investment district in the southern portion of Glenville. Read more in this Press Release.
