As the Executive Director of Famicos Foundation, John O. Anoliefo is responsible for the overall administration of the affairs of Famicos including managing a staff of 58 professionals across nine departments. Under John’s leadership over the past two decades, Famicos has grown from a small project-based CDC to a large place-based CDC, owning and managing more than 850 units of affordable housing for families, seniors, the disabled and the chronically homeless.
Before coming to Famicos, John was the Executive Director for Buckeye Area Development Corporation. John has a Bachelor of Science in Economics from Lake Erie College, Painesville, Ohio and a Master of Arts Degree in Public Administration from the University of Akron. John is also a graduate of the prestigious Executive Program in Community Development at the John F. Kennedy School of Government at Harvard University.
John is a recipient of numerous awards, most notably Key to the City of Cleveland, Jaycees Outstanding Young Men of America, Kaleidoscope Magazine for Making a Difference in Cleveland Communities and Community Development and the Nigerian Community in Greater Cleveland's Hall of Fame, Class of 2020.
